TelScale SIP Servlets 7.1.0.GA is now available!

We are proud to announce TelScale SIP Servlets 7.1.0.GA, certified against the Sip Servlets 1.1 specification and working on top of Tomcat 7.0.64, Tomcat 8.0.26, and JBoss EAP6.4.

Furthermore, this product release comes with the following new features:

  • “Confirmed” Dialog Failover/Replication based on Infinispan.
  • Support multiple Valves at JAIN-SIP level.
  • Support IPV6 addresses including ScopeId.

The main strength of this release is the new Infinispan replication backend, that is replacing the discontinued JBoss Cache one. This new technology supercedes previous backend, and provides better performance by replacing the old Tree based cache, with a Map based cache. This new backend allows upgrading clustering solutions to JBoss EAP 6.4. This is a major achievement compared to the previous port based on JBoss 5, which is also discontinued. Althought not all the previous failover capabilities have been migrated, this new release covers the main features. Next releases will focus on covering all the failover missing features, like EARLY dialog failover support, and provide support for even newer JBoss versions.

As a result, there are new binaries and documentation available in our Support Portal.
