1. How simple is it to use Restcomm? Do you need to know how to code to use Restcomm?

Using the visual designer, users are not required to have developer or coding skills.

 

2. How simple is it to Deploy Restcomm?

Restcomm is simple to deploy within the IT department. There is a library of pre-tested recipes for most popular modern deployment technologies.

 

3. What type of API does Restcomm use?

Restcomm provides REST APIs for web services integration. Restcomm also offers native APIs for iOS and Android devices on the client side and Java APIs for server side business logic.

 

4. What languages can you program Restcomm in?

Restcomm development is possible through an easy-to-use visual designer as well as native APIs for popular programming languages.

 

5. Is Restcomm able to be deployed via the cloud?

Restcomm can be deployed in public and private clouds. Telestax will be launching Restcomm as a Service in 2016.

Yes, many companies leverage SMS to not just generate alerts and notifications, but for online banking verification and other uses.

 

7. How secure is Restcomm?

Restcomm is highly secure. We are in the process of deploying a solution for QOS that will enhance the end-to-end security of Restcomm.

Applications developed on the Restcomm platform can be monetized via the Restcomm Applications Store.

 

11. How do I buy/license Restcomm?

Annual software subscription requires a one time upfront payment with ongoing charges for software maintenance fees for on-premise deployment.

 

12. How do I deploy intelligent communications?

Restcomm’s Visual Designer (or any popular programming language) lets you build voice, video, and messaging applications. Restcomm does the heavy lifting by integrating with obscure carrier networks behind the scenes.

 

13. How does Restcomm work with partners?

Systems Integrators, VARs, and Consultants can apply to become a member of the Telestax Certified Partner Program. This program helps to ensure our partners have deep expertise on the Restcomm platform via active contributions to our open source community. Certified partners have exclusive access to customer funded development projects, RFPs, and input into our product roadmap.

15. What is visual call flow designer and and what are the benefits?

A visual call flow designer is a graphical tool that allows you to determine how calls and communications are routed within your organization. Telestax’s Visual Call Flow Designer makes it simple for you to simply provision end-points or phones, determine which features are on each extension, assign numbers, rules for forwarding/voice mail/recording features, etc.

 

16. What is an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and what are the benefits?

Telestax’s Restcomm IVR solution allows users to interact with your organization or call center using voice or by pushing the buttons on your phone (eg. press or say ‘1’ for customer service). Organizations leverage IVRs for automated attendants, call forwarding/routing, and performing basic functions such as account balances or customer support troubleshooting. IVRs automate basic functions thereby reducing costs while allowing employees to focus on resolving broader challenges.
